What are Groups?

Groups at Woodstock Students is the biggest thing we do every week. We love the atmosphere on Wednesday nights at Pulse, but nothing surpasses small groups on Sunday mornings. It’s all about relationships, digging deep into God’s Word and each other’s lives. This is where church starts to feel like family.

When and where do Groups meet?

Every Sunday, 6th – 8th grade students gather at 8am, 9:30, and 11am. Come to the Warehouse, stop by the front desk, and we’ll help you find the Group for you. Side note: we have a fantastic volunteer team who are ready to answer your questions and make you feel at home.

What do Groups look like?

Our small groups in the student ministry are assembled by grade, gender, and school. So if this is your first time, you’ll more than likely already know somebody in your Group.

What do you talk about in Groups?

Our teachers have a pre-determined curriculum they teach through each school year. Now, before you get turned off by the word “curriculum” because it sounds too much like school, let’s put your mind at ease. The Student Ministry staff has spent a great deal of time praying about and asking students what they’d like to learn from God’s Word.

They’re also continuously learning about the issues this current generation of students face – the family drama, relationship questions, fears & doubts, ideas & dreams of the future, you name it – and then asked the most important question you can when faced with those things… What does God’s Word say about this?

The staff has put together a study plan that begins in 6th grade and wraps up in 8th grade when you move on to high school. This will take you through every book of the bible and 8 major doctrines of the Christian faith, while still having time to cover some of the every day issues we know you face!
